Pol. Lt. Boonraksa Traitosaporn, on duty at Chok Chai Police Station, received report of a theft at a 7-Eleven store in Soi Lat Phrao 87, Wang Thonglang District at about 11 p.m. last night. Police rushed to the scene and found two store employees still frightened. Under interrogation Piangpen Nuanjam, 21, stated that the offender was male, aged around 30. He was wearing jeans and a blue T-shirt. The first time he entered he pretended to be looking for something but went out without making a purchase. A while later he returned, this time heading straight to her, using a gun to make her give him all of the money before fleeing on a motorcycle.

Review of the security camera tapes revealed that the suspect, Somsak Thongma, is an ex-convict with drug dealing charges recently released from prison.
