วิกฤตการณ์ราคาน้ำมันที่เกิดขึ้นในปัจจุบัน ส่งผลให้ผู้ประกอบการขนส่งสินค้าด้วยรถขนส่งขนาดใหญ่ได้รับผลกระทบ
โดยตรงจากต้นทุนที่สูงขึ้น ก๊าซธรรมชาติจึงถูกผลักดันให้เป็นเชื้อเพลิงทางเลือกแทนการใช้น้ำมัน อย่างไรก็ด ีถึงแม้จะมีการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้เห็นถึงประโยชน์และความสามารถในการประหยัดต้นทุนค่าขนส่งของก๊าซธรรมชาติอย่างต่อเนื่อง ความนิยมก๊าซธรรมชาติก็ยังไม่เป็นที่แพร่หลาย การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำความเข้าใจถึงปัจจัยประกอบการพิจารณาการตัดสินเปลี่ยนหรือไม่เปลี่ยนมาใช้ก๊าซธรรมชาติ ของผู้ประกอบการขนส่งด้วยรถขนส่งขนาดใหญ่ โดยมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายคือผู้ประกอบการขนส่งสินค้าในภาคตะวันออก เนื่องจากเป็นบริเวณที่มีรถขนส่งสินค้าขนาดใหญ่ให้บริการอยู่หนาแน่น จากผลการศึกษา พบว่าปัจจัยหลักที่ผู้ประกอบการขนส่งสินค้าส่วนใหญ่ให้ความสำคัญระหว่างการพิจารณาเปลี่ยนมาใช้ก๊าซธรรมชาติประกอบด้วย ความปลอดภัย ความครอบคลุมของสถานีบริการ และความคุ้มทุน

ABSTRACT
Because the current oil crisis has a direct impact on the operating costs of all truck transportation operators, compressed natural gas (NGV) is, therefore, being promoted as an alternative fuel. It, however, has been difficult for NGV to penetrate the truck transportation industry despite the wide spread promotion. This objective of this study is to identify and understand the factors influencing the NGV conversion decision making process of the truck transportation operators. We focus our study on the truck transportation operators in the eastern provinces because the region has a concentrated number of truck transportation operators. The results from our study show that the main factors influencing the NGV conversion decision are safety, station coverage, and potential cost savings.
