Objective: Try to have a presentation at least once a month regularly.
Presentation Time: We will use lunch time. The whole presentation should take about an hour. The presentation should not be longer than 45 mins + 15 mins for questions and discussion.
Presentation Topic: The presenter can present any academic topic, idea or paper he/she wants to discuss. One who wants to present but don't know what to present may pick any paper of one's interest to present.
Commentator: Ideally, a commentator will be assigned to each presentation. The commentator must attend presentation and provide few thoughtful comments.
Reward and Punishment: To sustain our long cooperation, some of us suggest to use a reward and punishment system. For example, the one who commit to present but cannot make it has to pay some fee for not presenting. I am not sure whether most of us would agree on how to punish and reward. We may have discussion on this issue later.
