Research

I have a wide interest in ecology and a fascination with problems in natural resource management and epidemiology. For my Ph.D. dissertation research, I looked at spatio-temporal changes of landscape patterns and plant diversity as a result of land use transitions in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. Currently, I am in a group of multidisciplinary researchers trying to shed some light on rabies prevention and control in Thailand. Specifically, I am investigating the patterns of rabies incidence in Bangkok and vicinity, in order to understand the spread and dynamics.

For information on rabies in Thailand, check out Soonak.com

I am also involved in the Ecole-Commod project, which stands for E-collective learning processes on companion modelling
for natural resource management and the environment.  The project is funded by the European Union's Asia IT&C program, and project partners include CIRAD (France), LIP6 (France), Bhutan's Ministry of Agriculture, Wageningen University (Netherlands), and our very own Chulalongkorn University.
