Background of the Project

The name MATIC stands for MAnufacturing Technology supported by advanced and integrated Information system through international Cooperation. The project is a future-oriented for five years which has been initiated since 1994 by the Center of Internation Cooperation for Computerization (CICC) under the mandate of Ministry of Internation Trade and Industry (MITI) of Japan. The countries participate in the Project are China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Themes of the Project

  1. Increase of personnel expenses
  2. Shortage of engineers, high job-hopping rate
  3. Increase of distribution costs in accordance with the expansion of the market
  4. Insufficient infrastructure
  5. Investment environment, etc.
