Report Card as of April 22, 1997

Below is a list of work accomplished up to the previous month on various research endeavor:

MATIC and NECTEC Cooperation

Goals: cooperation on Automative Industry and Electronics Industry via WG1 and WG2, respectively

Issues

Cooperation between Toyota Motor Corporation, NECTEC, and Toyota Motor Thailand proceeds smoothly. Plans for second experiment is under way to incorporate Web technology into the system.
WG2 Discussions on proposed system architecture have been held a few times among member countries. The latest meeting on March 18-20, 1997 concluded the need for standardization of system architectural configuration and cooperation of various components such as agents, search robot, etc.

Project Plan

CAD plug-in browsing and simulation 2 years (in progress)
System Requirements for Second Experimental System 3 months (planning)

Problems and Difficulties
