At persent, there are 15 hospitals in Thailand that provide facility for irradiation. Among these hospitals, only 4 institutes are outside Bangkok. Three out of four are University hospitals which are Chiengmai in the north, Khon Kaen in the northeast and Songkla in the south. Another one in Nakorn Rachasrima which is provincial hospital. The rest of 11 hospitals in Bangkok that have irradiation facility consist of
3 private hospitals
2 military hospitals
4 university hospitals
2 Public health ministry hospitals
Usually all these hospitals are equipped with cobalt machine. The ones that have linear accelerator are Chiengmai university, Army hospital, Songkla University, three university hospitals in bangkok, two public health ministry hospitals and one private hospital. For the after loading machines, there are 3 Ralstron Cobalt HDR, 2 Cobalt HDR Selectron, 1 Cobalt buchler, 6 Cs-137 MDR Selectron and 1 Ir-192 HDR gammamed there are also 2 Hyperthermia in Bangkok. The three University hospital in Bangkok have used total body irradiation with bone marrow transplant. The Private hospital that have linear accelerator are going to buy equipment for stereotaxis radio- surgery.
The ministry of Public Health has planned to establish 6 radiotherapy institutes outside bangkok which will locate in the following province of Thailand
1. Ubolrachathani, in the lower north eastern part
2. Lopburi, in the middle part
3. Cholburi, in the eastern part
4. Lumpang in the northern part
5. Surathani in the southern part
6. Udornthani in the upper north eastern part.
The problem that we have, are lacking of qualified radiotherapists, physicists and radiographers because this field is not attractive for earning. Another problem is with the equipment, there is no qualified engineers to deal with the machine. Sometimes we have to wait for several days to get it fixed.

- implant using pulse technique
- intracavitary or intraluminal using HDR and in combination with Hyperthermia
- Biological effect of LDR, HDR, PDR, MDR
2. Stereotaxis radiosurgery
3. Intraoperative Irradiation
4. Conbination of radiation and Chemotherapy
- Total Body irradiation and Chemotherapy in Bone Marrow Transplant
- Preirradiation, Portirradiation and concurrent chemo radiation
5. Particle Beam Irradiation
