One way to add color to your Web pages is to add images; images can provide a splash of color in amongst the black and gray and white. Several extensions to HTML however, however, allow you also to change the colors of the page itself, including changing the background color of the page, changing the color of the text and links on that page, and to add "spot color" to individual characters on that page. In this section you'll learn how to do all these things.
Note: You'll learn a whole lot about color and color theory tomorrow. Today you'll just learn how to change colors in HTML.
