Requirements and Expectations

  • Leading Discussion: Throughout the semester, pairs of students will take turns leading class discussion. Sign up times will be available early in the semester.

  • Attendance and Participation: Discussion of the texts will be a big part of this class and students are encouraged to express their opinions, share observations and ask questions. Come prepared to discuss the reading material.

  • There will be five quizzes, two tests, a group paper and presentation, and a final exam.
